David Clulow set to shine at Heathrow T5 – 27/02/08

UK. David Clulow, the luxury eyewear store, will open its newest outlet at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 in March. The retailer will offer a range of designer brands, ranging from Christian Dior to Fendi.

A selection of solid gold frames from luxury designers Bvlgari, Oliver Peoples and Cartier will be made exclusively available to the new terminal.

The limited-edition offering from Bvlgari will include gold optical frames finished with diamonds alongside the Tom Ford Vintage collection. The Oliver Peoples diamond “˜Aero’ Aviators will also be made available for the first time in travel retail.

The store will also provide a prescription service, and passengers can collect their glasses on the return journey, using the Shop & Collect service offered by BAA within the EU. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to send orders directly to the customers’ homes upon their return.

ABOUT HEATHROW TERMINAL 5

London Heathrow Terminal 5 is due to open on 27 March. The £4.3 billion development – one of Europe’s largest construction projects and described as “a new Landmark for London” – will cater for around 27 million passengers annually.

Terminal 5 aims to set new standards in retail and dining with 112 different shops, bars, restaurants and services.

The terminal will incorporate 20,066sq m of retail space, focused on two floors, predominantly in the airside environment.

The development will increase the size of Heathrow’s retail portfolio by +50%. About 420 media sites will also be built into the fabric of the building.

The traveller demographic is anticipated to be 92% ABC1 in profile, and the terminal will be used exclusively by British Airways for its domestic, European and international destinations.
