DOHA. Qatar Airways and Qatar Duty Free underlined their commitment to the sport of tennis recently by reprising their positions as the official airline and retail sponsors respectively of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2015.
The annual men’s international tennis tournament took place on 5-10 January at Doha’s Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, where David Ferrer won the final against Tomas Berdych.

As part of its sponsorship this year, Qatar Airways invited spectators to visit its pavilion at the event where they were offered the opportunity to have their photograph taken against a choice of backdrops – the Doha skyline, the Airbus A350 XWB or the Airbus A380. They were then given a print of the photograph as a gift from the five-star airline.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said: “Qatar Airways was proud to continue in its role as a key sponsor of this internationally renowned sporting event, bringing these world-class players to Qatar for another season of dynamic tennis, and this year’s tournament was just as thrilling.
“As the event goes from strength to strength, we are delighted to continue our support, and enable tennis fans to enjoy this great sporting spectacle.”
