Davidoff launches Nicaragua range at exclusive Dubai event

Swiss cigar producer Davidoff hosted an exclusive launch event in Dubai last month for its latest cigar range, Davidoff Nicaragua.

The range was showcased at the event, themed “Explore-Adventure-Discover”, at the Hakkasan restauraunt. Guests were treated to ribbon dancers, canapés and Nicaraguan cocktails.

The range is available at Dubai International and worldwide at Davidoff’s appointed merchants and agents,and features three sizes: Toro (14cm; 54RG), Robusto (12.7cm; 50RG) and Short Corona (9.5cm; 46RG).

The Davidoff Nicaragua cigar features the flavours and aromas of white pepper and spicy wood combined with dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. The 100% Nicaraguan blend combines a 10-year-old Habano Seed Nicaragua Rosado wrapper with a binder from Jalapa, and a filler blend of tobaccos from Esteli, Condega and Ometepe.

Recounting the creation of the Davidoff Nicaragua cigar, dubbed “Mission Impossible” by Davidoff Master Blender Henke Kelner and his team, Davidoff CEO Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard said: “We overcame the challenges, marking a new chapter in the company’s history. It took 10 years of patience and perseverance to create the perfect conditions for this fine cigar.”

Hoejsgaard added: “It combines Davidoff’s characteristics and know-how with the totally fascinating intensity of Nicaraguan tobacco. With Nicaraguan “Puro” we wish to address modern and innovative cigar enthusiasts, who want to dedicate their precious time to the discovery of new and exciting tastes.
