UK. Dubai Airport is hosting Imperial Tobacco’s latest Davidoff cigarette promotion throughout June.
The event forms part of the Davidoff cigarette brand’s annual travel retail promotion, held at strategic airports globally, centring on themes of quality, luxury and travel. Each airport is offering a tailored prize, personal to the airport and its surrounding area.
During the June promotion in Dubai, duty free stores offer a gwp – either an ashtray with one carton purchased or a lighter with two cartons. Travellers can also enter a competition draw for a weekend holiday in Dubai, complete with desert safari tour and helicopter ride.
Athens Airport hosted the first Davidoff cigarette promotion, held last month, where results were “terrific”, according to Imperial Tobacco Trade Marketing Manager GDF Mark Robinson.
“During the promotional period of May volumes were up nearly +50% compared to the same period last year. Two weeks in and the results from Dubai Airport look just as promising,” he said.
The third promotion will be held at Sofia Airport in September. In addition, a presentation will also be made to last year’s Davidoff Cigarettes “Celebrate the World” promotion winner. The lucky winner will receive a trip for two to Hong Kong to celebrate the Chinese New Year in style.
