Davidoff reveals latest addition to Avo Cigars Improvisation series

Oettinger Davidoff has unveiled the tenth and final extension to its Avo Cigars Improvisation series which, over the past decade, has honoured the life and legacy of the brand’s founder, Avo Uvezian.

The Armenian-American cigar manufacturer, who was an accomplished jazz pianist and composer, passed away in 2017.

The limited-edition Avo Improvisation 2022 presents two different blends in distinctive wrappers to echo the brand’s ties with music.

One features binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and has a golden Ecuador Connecticut wrapper while the other uses a dark chocolate-coloured Ecuadorian wrapper over binder from Mexico and filler tobaccos from both Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Both are of medium intensity, with the darker cigar being slightly stronger.

Oettinger Davidoff Chief Marketing Officer Edward Simon said: “This final Improvisation release showcases two distinct yet complimentary blends that pair in harmony with various occasions, times of day, and flavour and intensity preferences of the aficionado.

“The Avo Improvisation 2022 packaging memorialises the musical inspiration of the Avo lines.”

Avo Improvisation 2022 robusto grande (2.2cm x 14cm) cigars are presented in 22-piece boxes, with 4,290 boxes available globally. They will be available on-shelf in the USA in March, followed by European markets in June.
