Davidoff takes to the spotlight with brand new marketing campaign

Imperial Tobacco is using the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition next month to highlight the “˜For The Hunters’ marketing campaign for its Davidoff Cigarettes brand (stand number: C38).

Launched this month in the Middle East, the new campaign aims to rejuvenate Davidoff Cigarettes with a modern and fresh edge and is supported by visuals that highlight the strength and style of the brand.

The “˜For The Hunters’ slogan has been developed to highlight specific attitudes and the mentality of Davidoff Cigarettes’ target group. According to Davidoff, campaign visuals are based on three key descriptives: for those who know when to strike; for those who own the game and for those that set the pace. Each description highlights aspects of Davidoff Cigarettes and its smokers – from its dedication to quality and pursuit of luxury, to confidence, style and willingness for distinction, the brand stated.

Imperial Tobacco Sales & Marketing Operations Director Global Travel Retail Christian Münstermann said: “Tobacco is a key driver of sales within the duty free channel; it is one of the most highly planned purchases, so it is vitally important that our marketing campaigns are unique, strong and eye-catching. With travellers increasingly looking for innovation in duty free, we have ensured that our new global campaign showcases the premium aspects of our biggest and strategically most important brand.”

Imperial Tobacco will have a new stand at the TFWA Asia Pacific featuring white plinths and digital screens, and a new meeting room designed to embody the new campaign and “truly incarnate what it is like to be a hunter”. In addition, a new-look smoking room will be added, featuring gold tones, relaxing furniture and a self-service mini bar.
