USA. Food & beverage concessionaire Jersey Mike’s is looking to give away a day’s sales – expected to total over US$21 million – to selected US charities tomorrow (27 March).
During the submarine sandwich chain’s 14th annual Day of Giving, over 2,700 Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants across the US (including airport outlets) will donate 100% of sales – not just the profit – to more than 200 local charities.
It is expected to be the company’s busiest day of the year.

Day of Giving marks the end of Jersey Mike’s March Month of Giving fundraising campaign, with donations collected for partner charities including hospitals, youth organisations, food banks, cancer support groups and more. The full list of charities can be accessed here.
Jersey Mike’s Founder and CEO Peter Cancro said: “Please join us and make a difference this Wednesday, 27 March, when 100% of sales from every sub will be given back to the community.”
He noted that since the Month of Giving began in 2011, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than US$88 million for local charities.
US actor and comedian Danny DeVito has supported Jersey Mike’s efforts and features in the sandwich chain’s latest commercial shown below. ✈
