INDIA. Delhi Duty Free reached its highest-ever monthly sales in June, with the figure hitting INR203 Crore (US$24.2 million).
The new monthly record follows soon after the company – the anchor travel retailer at Delhi International Airport – reported sales of INR1,941 Crore (US$232.3 million) in the financial year to 31 March 2024.
Delhi Duty Free CEO Ashish Chopra said: “These milestones underscore the relentless hard work and dedication of our team and the visionary guidance of our Chairman and Board of Directors. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our valued brand partners, whose support has been instrumental in achieving this success. We are thrilled to celebrate these monumental achievements.”
The sharp growth in the annual numbers is linked to increases in passenger numbers plus “strategic initiatives in promotions, logistics and passenger convenience” said the retailer.
It added: “The success of targeted promotions and campaigns has significantly increased customer engagement and sales penetration, contributing to these record-breaking performances.
“As Delhi Duty Free celebrates these historic milestones, the commitment remains to further elevate the customer experience and continue setting new benchmarks of excellence in duty free retailing at Delhi International Airport.” ✈
