Delhi Duty Free welcomes first commercial Airbus A380 flight to India

INDIA. Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) joined hands with Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) to give a warm welcome to passengers on the inaugural flight of Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A380 to India.

Singapore Airlines is the first carrier in the world to fly the Airbus A380 to India, landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi on 30 May.

Passengers were offered a surprise gift and the chance to win shopping vouchers up to US$100 from Delhi Duty Free.

Delhi Duty Free Services CEO Duncan Lawley said: “It’s an honour and a privilege for us to be associated with Delhi International Airport in celebrating the arrival of the inaugural flight of Singapore Airlines’ super jumbo A380 and welcoming all the passengers with special gifts as they arrive to shop. We would also like to congratulate Singapore Airlines for being the first airline to fly the Airbus A380 to India.”
