Diageo has revealed a new travel retail exclusive single malt Scotch whisky offering – Talisker Dark Storm – describing it as the smokiest whisky produced by the Isle of Skye distillery.
Bottled at 45.8% ABV, the single malt is being made available in travel retail outlets across Asia, Europe and the Middle East from this month, priced from £42 for a one litre bottle.
According to Diageo, the rich flavours of Talisker Dark Storm are the result of careful cask selection, with the spirit matured in heavily charred oak, giving the whisky its distinctive spicy and smoky character.
“Talisker Dark Storm is an incredible new flavour offering from one of the world’s best known and most loved Scotch Whiskies,” said Diageo Marketing Director Global Travel and Middle East Steve White.
“It’s a single malt that captures the untamed spirit of a full-blown storm at sea. It is intense and powerfully flavoured, a whisky that offers an element of “˜rugged luxury’ to today’s travellers – adventurers and whisky connoisseurs alike.
