Dick Flink has made a big contribution to the development of consumer services at Schiphol |
NETHERLANDS. Dick Flink, who is Director of the Consumers Business division of Schiphol Group, will take up the post of CEO at Holland Casino, which has the sole casino licence in the Netherlands, with effect from 1 October 2007. He takes over from Henk Kivits, who in turn succeeds Joop van den Ende as CEO of the Stage Entertainment company.
Within the Consumers Business area of Schiphol Group, Flink has been responsible for the development, implementation and operation of all commercial activities targeted at consumers. These include products and services such as shops (including See Buy Fly and Schiphol Plaza), parking, hotels and catering and entertainment, as well as services such as car hire and banking.
“In the nine years that I have been working for Schiphol Group, I have been given the scope to develop the time spent by passengers and other consumers at Schiphol into more of an experience. In this way I’ve been able to contribute to the rapidly growing importance of the airport’s commercial activities,” said Flink.
Flink started his career in the leisure industry with Center Parcs. Among his roles there, he was a member of the international Executive Board and, as General Manager for Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, he held responsibility for the operation and expansion of holiday parks in these countries.
