Dior and Duty Free Americas invite travellers into the Ball of Dreams at Miami Airport

Lighting up Christmas: The activation in Terminal D is anchored by a 12.5ft high Dior tree, crowned with a radiant midnight sun

USA. “A golden extravaganza inspired by the splendour of the Palace of Versailles.” That’s the lustrous billing for a festive activation called the Ball of Dreams unveiled this month by the House of Dior in partnership with Duty Free Americas at Miami International Airport.

The House of Dior has regarded Versailles as an emblem of French luxury since its inception. The late Christian Dior’s first collection was photographed throughout the palace grounds.

More than 75 years later, Dior continues to be captivated by the palace’s sumptuousness, celebrating its elegance, grace and grandeur through the Dior Ball of Dreams for the holiday season.

At the activation in Terminal D, which runs until 6 January, travellers discover a spectacular 12.5ft high Dior tree, crowned with a radiant midnight sun.

The centerpiece is surrounded by giant sculptures of renowned Dior fragrances: J’adore, Miss Dior and Sauvage.

Clients are invited on an olfactory journey around the Christmas tree to discover these scents, creating what Dior dubbed a visual and olfactory feast for the senses.

Travellers can create lasting memories by posing for pictures against the Dior festive backdrop. ✈
