French fragrance house Diptyque has unveiled Collection 34, a range available in select global travel retail stores for a limited period between 1 September and 28 October.

Collection 34 was inspired by the brand’s first address in 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain, Paris. This is where Diptyque was founded in 1961 and evokes the brand’s bohemian and creative Parisian spirit, the brand said.

Collection 34 is centred around a new fragrance that captures the spirit of Diptyque’s home. The woody, floral and spicy scent combines moss and blackcurrant notes with oriental spices and warm woods.

The fragrance is available in various formats. These include three-wick candles in large and extra-large as well as a medium translucent candle, reed diffuser and electric wall diffuser. The electric wall diffuser is designed to perfume a large space on a long-term basis. It is housed in a striking Diptyque oval and has slow-release technology to perfume a room 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Other pieces include a room spray, car diffuser and refill and scented oval. The latter is also available in a limited-edition design.

The collection features a white, black and gold colourway decorated with Diptyque’s archival ‘Prétorien’ motif. The motif was inspired by an 18th-century locket and features in Diptyque’s fabrics and packaging.

To celebrate the launch, Diptyque is launching the 34H book, which tells the fragrance house’s history through a series of visceral abstract images.
