AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport Corp (BAC) has secured a minimum 20-year commitment from leading Australian outlet centre operator, Direct Factory Outlets (DFO) as anchor tenant for Number One Airport Drive.
Melbourne-based DFO, is Australia’s largest factory outlet centre operator, offering individual designer outlet stores under the one roof, with an emphasis on fashion, footwear and homewares at discounted prices.
Merchandise varies from discounted lines, previous season’s stock, current season overstock, and seconds or samples. Stores planned for Brisbane will be similar the existing operations of women’s and men’s fashion, children’s clothing, footwear, sporting goods, jewellery/accessories, leathergoods, prints/frames and garden products.
DFO ceo Geoff Porz commented: “Number One Airport Drive represents a fantastic opportunity for us to establish Brisbane’s first purpose-built factory outlet centre, on what is arguably Australia’s best-located development site.”
