Distell Global Travel Retail will be presenting a range of wines and spirits at the upcoming IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas (stand number 1105).
The company’s whisky offer will include the Deanston Organic 15 Year Old Single Highland Malt, said to be the only aged organic single malt currently available in the duty free channel, and two Tobermory single malts. The 18 Year Old is bourbon cask matured and the 20 Year old is finished in sherry casks, both are produced at the only whisky distillery on the Hebridean island of Mull, Scotland.
Distell will also be unveiling Nederburg’s revamped packaging, which, according to Distell, “amplifies the brand’s pedigree and innovation”.
Distell believes that rising connoisseurship will see travellers look for more specialty products of unusual or interesting provenance |
Nederburg wines are described as “richly fruited, intense and concentrated with bold, powerful flavours and structure” and are said to be popular in Brazil’s duty free market. The brand has won awards from the International Wine & Spirit Competition, the International Wine Challenge and the Decanter World Wine Awards.
Popular South African cream liqueur Amarula will also be among the brands on-display at IAADFS.
Distell Global Travel Retail Head of Marketing Andrea Baumgartner commented: “As a multi-beverage producer, Distell is well placed to capitalise on the growing appetite for the new, the exclusive and the hand-crafted.Â
“Our portfolio includes rare, small-batch ultra-premium malts in the Bunnahabhain, Ledaig, Deanston and Tobermory ranges. Our heritage Cognac Bisquit features several specialty editions exclusive to travel retail. And with South Africa establishing a growing international reputation for original, interesting and pioneering wines, Distell is well-placed to provide a full category solution with leading international brands like Nederburg and a selection of smaller boutique estates like Durbanville Hills and Plaisir de Merle.”
