SOUTH KOREA. The Shilla Duty Free has partnered with Bacardi Global Travel Retail to open a pop-up store at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 to celebrate the launch of Dewar’s premium Scotch blended whisky Dewar’s Double Double Stone Toasted.
In honour of the launch, The Shilla Duty Free is hosting a promotional campaign themed ‘Dewar’s Stone Toasted Launch Pop-Up Event’ until 6 November.
The event allows outbound travellers during the forthcoming Chuseok and October holiday season to taste the new expresions.
The Stone Toast technique involves indirectly toasting whisky casks without exposing them to direct flames. This allows the whisky to develop more intense and complex flavours while maintaining a smooth finish.
The two Dewar’s Double Double 21 Year Old Stone Toasted whisky expressions have been finishing in American and French oak casks, respectively. At the pop-up store, customers can enjoy the Dewar’s Stone Toasted Discovery Pack, which offers both variations.
They can also sample fellow Dewar’s blends such as Double Double 20 Year Old and Bacardi-owned single malt Scotch whiskies Aberfeldy 12 Year Old, Aultmore 12 Year Old and Royal Brackla 12 Year Old
To commemorate the Stone Toasted launch, the pop-up offers discounts and gifts based on the purchase amount. Selected Dewar’s products, including the latest release, are available at a -20 to -40% discount.
Additionally, purchases over US$300 qualify for a complimentary black trolley or a set of two Aultmore glasses, while purchases over US$200 come with a set of 12 Dewar’s glasses or an Aultmore travel bag. ✈
