USA. MAC Cosmetics has teamed up with Dress for Success to celebrate the launch of the makeup brand’s new store in Indianapolis International Airport. The boutique was opened in partnership with Paradies Lagardère, which operates other retail stores throughout the airport. It is located in Concourse B after security.
MAC Cosmetics is the latest store opened as part of the airport’s Concessions Refresh Programme. The programme aims to enhance the airport’s shopping and dining offer to reflect an authentic Indianapolis experience.
Dress for Success is an Indiana-based female network that aims to help women achieve economic independence by providing then with a system of support, professional attire, and development tools. The organisation hopes to remove women from poverty, by giving them the confidence and knowledge they need to thrive in the workplace. It has helped enact positive change in the lives of approximately 17,000 women in Indiana.
To mark the occasion, Dress for Success gave a small group of local women makeovers and professional headshots at the new MAC Cosmetics store.
MAC Cosmetics is one of 15 new retail openings at Indianapolis International. Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez said the cosmetics brand’s ethos of self-expression and female empowerment align with the airport’s commitment to support women-owned businesses.
He said: “MAC Cosmetics is a welcome addition to the mix of national and local brands that reflect the diverse range of retail and food-and-beverage concepts at IND Airport. MAC’s business model is based on celebrating diversity and individuality, and that philosophy aligns exactly with IND Airport’s business practices.”
