UAE. Dubai Duty Free is lending the highest support possible to the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC), which opens September next year.
Being a Diamond Patron of the non-profit centre, Dubai Duty Free will get to name one of the centre’s principal rooms.
Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Colm McLoughlin said: “The DUCTAC project will play a valuable role in reflecting Dubai’s unique blend of cultures and will encourage interest and participation from the community and the many visitors who come here. Dubai Duty Free is proud to be a part of the beginning of this new Centre to celebrate the distinctive mixture of art and theatre that Dubai has to offer.”
Dubai is aiming to become a regional cultural hub. The DUCTAC project was initiated by theatre and art lovers in Dubai, and will begin operations in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates.
Expressing his gratitude to sponsors such as Dubai Duty Free, DUCTAC Project Chairman Brian Wilkie said: “This is the first project of its kind in the region, offering all nationalities access to a spectrum of arts and cultural activities. The Centre will create a new standard for the arts in Dubai.”
