UAE. An Australian national working in Abu Dhabi has become the latest winner of US$1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire prize draw, held at DXB on Wednesday.
A first-time participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion, Riyaz T. is a father of two and works in a hospital in Abu Dhabi.

When asked how he learnt about the Dubai Duty Free promotion, he said, “I was actually browsing online for my daughter’s school project when an advertisement about your promotion popped up on screen that I accidentally clicked. I checked it and decided to give it a try.
“I can’t believe that I won with my first ever ticket to a Dubai Duty Free promotion, I think I made the right decision to give it a try on that day. This is a life-changer, thank you so much Dubai Duty Free.”
He is the seventh Australian national to have won US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999.
The Millennium Millionaire draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman & CEO Colm McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer Ramesh Cidambi, SVP – Human Resources Mona Al Ali, SVP – Retail Support Michael Schmidt and VP – Loss Prevention & Corporate Security Zayed Al Shebli.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for one luxury car and three motorbikes., with VP – Purchasing Sharon Beecham assisting with this draw. Winners included a Saudi Arabian national based in Dubai, a Bulgarian national and two Indian nationals.
