ARGENTINA. London Supply Group-managed Argentina border store Duty Free Shop Puerto Iguazú entertained customers during the Carnival festive holiday earlier this month with a special event featuring music and dance.
The Argentina Carnival – celebrated this year on Monday 3 (Lunes de Carnival) and Tuesday 4 March (Martes de Carnival) – marks the beginning of Lent.
Duty Free Shop Puerto Iguazú’s high-impact show, staged 15 times across the two-day holiday, featured Misiones Rainforest themes and dancers in colourful makeup and costumes.
The performances were enhanced by a combination of special effects, screens, and surround sound and lighting.
The company described the show as “a bold and innovative concept, offering a journey along the history of this popular festival through the staging of native animals and elements that transported audiences to the heart of the Misiones Rainforest”.
The Misiones Rainforest, located in the north-eastern corner of Argentina, is a biodiverse and ecologically rich region that hosts a wealth of plant and animal species against a lush green backdrop.

The Carnival is a popular annual festivity with roots in ancient pagan celebrations, in which people would break with social and religious norms to make way for uninhibited fun and entertainment. ✈
