UK. Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) has launched an enhanced F&B offer at its Yorkshire and 1432 Runway Club lounges operated by its newly appointed concessionaire Elior Group.

The caterer now serves lounge customers an extensive array of food, with an evolving seasonal menu and an extensive selection of locally sourced food prepared by a dedicated team of chefs.

Elior Group is a global operator of contract catering and support services, with experience in the premium hospitality sector, having previously operated SkyTeam Lounge at London Heathrow Airport.

The airport company noted that Elior staff will be serving customers and keeping stocks replenished throughout the day in LBA’s Yorkshire Lounge and 1432 Runway Club.

The 1432 Runway Club also now features a tableside ordering system.

LBA Commercial and Strategy Director John Cunliffe said: “Positive customer experience is a priority for us and we welcome the changes that Elior will bring to our lounges. The introduction of delicious seasonal menus, brand-new technology and dedicated staff are sure to help our customers relax and unwind before a work trip or bring that holiday feeling before take-off.

“This is an important step for us as an airport and one that will support our wider LBA:REGEN development plans to improve passenger experience for customers.”

Elior Divisional Managing Director Calum McLaren added: “We are delighted to be operating the lounges in Leeds Bradford Airport, bringing to life our passion for delicious freshly prepared food that is locally sourced and seasonal.

“Introducing new, innovative technology to the lounge is fundamental to delivering this heightened customer experience. Leeds Bradford Airport is an exciting partnership opportunity for us, with the airport offering a fantastic range of destinations to a large catchment area.”

Leeds Bradford Airport welcomes the Elior team to bring passengers an elevated lounge experience

While Elior Group oversees the day-to-day operations of the airport lounges, LBA noted it will continue to be in charge of the commercial performance, front desk management and sales initiatives.

For access to these lounges, passengers can continue to book through the Leeds Bradford Airport website. Access privileges for those customers with memberships of card schemes (such as Dragonpass and Priority Pass) or eligible customers of certain airlines will remain unchanged. ✈
