US. Elizabeth Arden Inc has signed a long-term global licensing agreement with Aeffe SpA, for the development, marketing and distribution of fragrances, cosmetics, and skincare products for fashion designer Alberta Ferretti. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
A debut fragrance will be launched in spring 2009. Arden will produce and market the fragrance collections, with creative direction for the scents to come from the designer herself.
Alberta Ferretti is particularly well-known for her gowns and their red carpet appearances. Her trademark style is described as feminine, sensual, elegant and contemporary, enhanced with exquisite tailoring and fine details.
“Alberta Ferretti is an icon in the world of fashion design, and we are thrilled to be working with her to create a fragrance line that reflects the sensibilities of her style,” said Elizabeth Arden Chairman and Chief Executive Officer E. Scott Beattie.
“Adding the Alberta Ferretti name to our designer fragrance brands allows us to diversify our fragrance brand portfolio and strategically expand our reach of prestige fragrance distribution, particularly in the European fragrance market.”
