FRANCE. Elizabeth Arden has created two new feminine fragrances, for its 5th Avenue and Red door franchises.
5th Avenue Nights will be available from September. Composed by Givaudan’s Marypierre Julien, it is described as a modern, floral oriental.

The top features notes of bergamot, mandarin, cyclamen coucou, white freesia and wild white rose. The heart is based around the calla lily, jasmine, muguet, heliotrope and pink peony, and leads to a dry-down of musk, white chocolate, vanilla and woods.
“The result is a sparkling, sheer oriental that captures the sparkle of the city and the woman who is energised by the magic of New York City nights,” noted Julien.
The fragrance flacon sports a silver trim and a gleaming, patent-black label accented by a line of luminous holographic dots.
The outer carton features a co-ordinating holographic design, which aims to evoke a feeling of night-lit city sophistication, according to Arden.
5th Avenue Nights is available as a 30ml, 75ml and 125ml edp spray, priced domestically at US$36.50, US$46 and US$56, respectively.
In other news, Arden will introduce Red Door Shimmer, for a limited period, from August.
Designed with the holiday period in mind, the fragrance sports a gleaming red and gold bubble colour-scheme, as a tribute to the festive season.
The Red Door Shimmer juice was created by International Fragrance & Flavors’ Clement Gaverry. The top is a fruity-floral blend of Japanese pear, yuzu leaf, blackberry and pink pepper, leading to a heart of gardenia, Casablanca lily and peony. The base includes Tonka bean, red amber, musk, sandalwood and vetiver.
Red Door Shimmer will be available as a 50ml and 100ml edt spray, plus a 200ml Shimmer Body Lotion. The recommended domestic prices are US$45, US$55 and US$29.50, respectively.
