USA. Airmall is embracing wellness with a programme of activities at two airports encompassing healthy eating, yoga and ‘fit-friendly’ giveaways.
The Fit2Fly event, now in its third year, aims to show travellers “how fun and easy it is to stay fit and active during air travel”, according to Airmall President and CEO Ben Zandi.
The event is taking place at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall and Pittsburgh International airports between 5-9 June.
On 8 June, Fit2Fly teams at each airport will offer travellers tip cards, ranging from poses for mid-flight yoga to a full shopping and dining guide that highlights healthy offerings. The team will also give away free gifts such as jump ropes, water bottles, healthy snacks and yoga mats. Instructors will also lead free yoga sessions in the terminals throughout the day.
“Grabbing a healthy snack or a few extra steps are among many simple and satisfying steps to wellness while travelling,” said Zandi. “We look forward to motivating travellers to maintain their fitness goals on the go.”
Airport passengers will be encouraged to use the hashtag #Fit2Fly on social media to share their favourite tips for staying healthy while travelling.
