The new Ezeiza Airport store presents “the perfect surroundings for the world of Emporio Armani” |
ARGENTINA: The Armani Group has opened an Emporio Armani store in Ezeiza Airport, Buenos Aires. With retail space of over 70sq m on one floor, the new store is said to embody “Giorgio Armani’s vision of the modern, casual lifestyle that Emporio Armani represents”.
The store offers the complete Emporio Armani lifestyle collection for men and women, including formal and casual wear, sportswear, leather accessories, watches, eyewear, and jewellery collections.
Giorgio Armani’s team of in-house architects designed the new store along the same lines as the recently opened Emporio Armani stores in Pacific Place, Hong Kong; London Heathrow Airport Terminal Three; Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates; Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok and Tokyo Narita Airport T1.
The flooring is a shiny black ceramic and the walls are made of large silver glass fibre and black glass panels. The ceiling is finished with panels of inox steel, to complement the stylised furniture fixtures and carbon fibre merchandising displays.
A large video wall projecting the Autumn/Winter 2006/07 collections illuminates the store and forms a backdrop for the apparel on offer. The overall effect blends craftsmanship with modernity in an unexpected way and presents “the perfect surroundings for the world of Emporio Armani”.
Ezeiza Airport is one of the key locations included in the Armani Group’s “˜fast-track’ expansion programme in the duty free and travel retail marketplace. With five free-standing Emporio Armani stores opened in the past two years at Rome Fiumicino, Zürich international, London Heathrow T3, Tokyo Narita T1 and in Guam’s Tumon Bay Galleria, the Armani Group’s programme of openings is now well under way.
