The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has been included in the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for the sixth consecutive year.
The beauty giant said it continues to improve its index score as it continues to deepen commitments to women’s advancement and gender equity, “ensuring our employees have equitable access to career advancement, pay parity, and opportunity across ELC worldwide”.
ELC joins 483 other companies as a member of the 2023 GEI, which serves as a touchstone for companies seeking to track their progress in gender inclusion and how the implementation of diversity policies shape company performance. The index measures gender equality across five pillars: leadership and talent pipeline; equal pay and gender pay parity; inclusive culture; anti-sexual harassment policies and external brand.

The listing follows similar recognition of ELC’s commitments by numerous organisations, including Forbes (2022 America’s Best Employers for Diversity), Seramount (2022 Top Companies for Executive Women) and Glassdoor (Best Places to Work 2022).
