UK. Estée Lauder is poised to further expand its Perfectionist franchise with the travel retail introduction next month of two new products: Perfectionist Peel 2-Step Enzyme Activating Treatment and Perfectionist Correcting Concentrate for Deeper Facial Lines/Wrinkes.
The former is described as a gentle, at-home alternative to a glycolic peel. It is said to achieve similar, instant results to a traditional peel – smoother, softer, more radiant-looking skin – but without the common side-effects of redness and irritation.
Perfectionist Peel facilitates the skin’s natural renewal process via a two-phase action. Phase 1 is a gentle exfoliant, in the form of a Thermal Facial Peel. It contains Beta-Hydroxy Acid (aka salicylic acid) to slough off dead skin cells, and glucosamine – a sugar derivative found naturally in skin – which also helps the skin’s natural desquamation process.
The thermal element encourages the skin’s pathways to open, according to Lauder.
In Phase 2, the Phase 1 product is removed with specially-designed Calming Neutralizer Pads, infused with powerful anti-irritants such as Green Tea and Resveratrol, to visibly soothe and calm skin.
After just one week, when used together with Perfectionist CP+, Perfectionist Peel was found to improve skin exfoliation by +35%; smooth out the appearance of lines and wrinkles by +35%; boost skin radiance by +34%; and improve skin clarity by +39%, according to Lauder.
Also launching into travel retail in July is Perfectionist Correcting Concentrate for Deeper Facial Lines/Wrinkles. This is claimed to instantly visibly minimise the appearance of serious expression lines, such as those found across the forehead, between eyebrows and around eyes.
It achieves this via a cocktail of wrinkle-fighting technologies, optical brighteners and moisturisers. The result, according to Lauder, is a -54% reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Perfectionist Correcting Concentrate is presented in a portable, pen-style tube with a self-sealing, “duck-bill” tip for more precise application.
