Euroitalia puts passion into perfume with Versace’s Eros Pour Femme

Euroitalia has created a feminine counterpart for Versace’s flagship Eros men’s fragrance, called Versace Eros Pour Femme. It made its debut in Italy last December and will be launched in Europe and the US this spring, before rolling out to the rest of the world later in 2015.

Named after the Greek god of love, the masculine scent was designed to epitomise passion, beauty and desire. Likewise, Eros Pour Femme is described as a “perfume for passionate women”¦the ultimate in power and seduction from Versace”.

The juice – composed by Firmenich’s Oliver Cresp, Nathalie Lorson and Alberto Morillas – opens on notes of lemon, bergamot and pomegranate, building to a floral heart of jasmine, peony and lemon flower. Ambrox, musk and sandalwood feature in the dry-down.

The fragrance is presented in a round, gold-coloured flacon adorned with the signature Versace Medusa motif on the front and the top of the cap. Instead of a standard outer carton, the edp (available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml) nestles within a deluxe, drawer-like coffret.

The face of the fragrance is Lara Stone, who joins Brian Shimansky (the face of Versace Eros) in the advertising campaign, shot my Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, with artistic direction by Donatella Versace. The concept re-works mythology to see Shimansky seduced by Stone’s mermaid made flesh.
