The art and culture of Taiwan brought to life at Taoyuan Airport T1 |
TAIWAN. Ever Rich Group has extended its drive to promote the art and culture of Taiwan at the country’s airports with new initiatives at Taichung and Kaohsiong airports from June. As reported, the company transformed Taoyuan International through an innovative art programme that began in February.
Ever Rich was originally charged with upgrading the image of the country’s airports by custom-designing the stores and public facilities, becoming in its own words “the storyteller of Taiwanese culture, turning the airport into a museum for marketing Taiwan”.
This year, the company went a step further, inviting leading Taiwanese artists to reinvent spaces at Taoyuan, Taichung and Kaohsiong airports as large art galleries to surprise passengers.
This art festival takes place in public spaces at all three major airports, from the duty free shops to the customer service counters and from the Internet zone to airside restaurants.

“˜Love’ and “˜Embrace’ are the two big themes for the 2015 Ever Rich Art Festival. The company invited artists Akibo Lee, Chien-jung Lin and Song Song Meow to reimagine Taoyuan International Airport, Macaca and Jia-bin Mo worked at Kaohsiong International Airport and local modern artists Kuan-Chung Lai and Andy Yen used their art to enrich the environment at Taichung International Airport.
Passengers can take photos with the artworks and upload them to their social networks. Ever Rich noted that by hosting the festival, it can enhance the passenger experience in a creative way, but also introduce Taiwan’s modern artists to the world.
