Exotic Van Gogh Vodka flavours leave it all to the Imagination – 07/03/05

Imagination Unlimited International President Lars Johannson: “The more flavours listed in a shop, the better Van Gogh performs in sales and consumer appeal.”

US. Van Gogh Vodka’s travel retail representative Imagination Unlimited International plans to launch more exotic flavours this year, including Four Berries, Mohito Mint, Black Cherry and Expresso.

The company’s range already comprises non-flavoured Van Gogh Gin and Vodka and flavoured vodkas such as Mango, Pineapple, Melon, Coconut, Dutch Chocolate, Vanilla, Wild Apple, Lemon, Orange and Raspberry. The complementary liqueurs range includes Starry Night, a blue Curaçao, Melon, Apple Triple Sec, Chocolate Raspberry, Melon and Amsterdam Chocolate Liqueurs.

Commenting on the new flavoured vodka launches, Imagination’s President Lars Johannson told The Moodie Report: “The more flavours listed in a shop, the better Van Gogh performs in sales and consumer appeal. In the Generation Publications 2004 rating in Best ‘n Most, Van Gogh Vodkas are ranked eighth in the top 10 vodkas and growing – indeed, a remarkable success.

“The Van Gogh line is a product with imagination and broad gift-giving as well as consumer appeal.”

Taking the time to divulge some top tips on cocktail mixing, Johansson added: “We have become the favourite martini vodka. Bartenders often use inexpensive vodkas and fruit juices. I use two ounces of vodka with usually half an ounce of liqueur. That way no flavour usually covers up the other flavours. I also like to use frozen grapes/fruit/olives, etc. I use frozen as a garnish in many of my recipes. The great thing about frozen grapes is that it keeps the martini cooler longer!”

In addition to the new flavoured vodkas, Imagination will also introduce Panama Jack, a premium Panamanian rum this year.
