AUSTRALIA. The Express Beauty Bar, a one-stop beauty bar, has opened its doors in the Departures area at Sydney International Airport.
Also with a presence in the city’s downtown CBD, the bar provides express beauty services for time-poor professional men and women wanting fast service and value for money. With or without an appointment, the bar seeks to take care of a wide array of beauty needs in less than 30 minutes, using ethical and internationally renowned products.
Services include eyelash extensions, blow drys, make up, manicures and pedicures, facials, massage and threading, the ancient Indian technique for removing facial and neck hair popular in Europe and the US and favoured by celebrities such as Angelina Jolie.
For those wanting more than one treatment, The Express Beauty Bar offers a -50% discount off the second service, while frequent flyers can also take advantage of its ‘buy three, get one free’ offering.
Sydney Airport Corporation Limited General Manager Retail Derek Larsen said: “The newly refurbished Sydney International Airport provides the perfect location for The Express Beauty Bar products and services. The unique retro aviation-themed shop design, large lounge chairs and fun 60’s-style flight attendant uniforms worn by the beauty specialists create a great environment for travellers to enjoy its extensive range of treatments and pampering ahead of a long flight.”
The Express Beauty Bar founder Charmilla Herath added: “We have built a great client base in the city so we thought that opening at the airport was a natural extension for our business. Many of our clients are professionals who regularly travel around the world so it’s great that we can now offer our services at the airport.”
