Family Brands Alliance expands portfolio with addition of Irish American Whiskey

Irish American Whiskey is distilled at Ireland’s only island-based distillery

Family Brands Alliance has added Irish American Whiskey to its portfolio. The brand will be presented at the upcoming IAADFS Summit of the Americas in Miami from 8-11 March.

Irish American Whiskey is produced by the Achill Island Distillery, the only island-based distillery in Ireland.

The distillery leverages the region’s micro-climate to develop a range of matured whiskeys, including a 5 Year Old Irish Whiskey, an 8 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey and a 21 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey.

With the addition of Irish American Whiskey, Family Brands Alliance aims to enhance its premium, independently owned spirits brands.

The IAADFS Summit of the Americas will serve as a platform to showcase Irish American Whiskey’s heritage and craftsmanship.

The Family Brands Alliance is an informal grouping created to help fellow family-owned, independent drinks firms enter travel retail. It was founded by German spirits company Waldemar Behn, which owns a diverse portfolio of brands, including Danzka vodka, Dooley’s, Andalö, Blavod, Kleiner Feigling, Heering, Radeberger and many more. ✈
