About Fauchon
Arriving in Paris from rural Calvados in 1880, Auguste Fauchon set up a cart at Place de la Madeleine, offering fruits and vegetables from the best orchards and farms in France. In 1886, he opened his first store in the same location, allowing Fauchon to offer a wider range of the best French produce. The Madeleine store soon became a showcase for French gastronomy and a shop window for exotic foodstuffs from around the world.
Today, under President Michel Ducros, the brand is distributed in 41 countries and over 450 retail outlets. In Asia, the brand is available in over 100 points of sale in Japan, where the brand made its debut in 1972. It opened a flagship store in Beijing in June 2007.
