Ferrero Travel Market puts key brands in Virtual Travel Retail Expo spotlight

Ferrero Travel Market will feature the latest products from its five key brands – Kinder, Nutella, Tic Tac, Ferrero Rocher and Raffaello – at the inaugural Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo.

A Gold Partner (#Virtual Stand CF-G3), Ferrero Travel Market aims to underline the strength of its well-known brands on the international market. It will highlight what it terms its “most promising” SKUs, which include Kinder Maxi T18 and Mega Nutella B-ready T12.

Ferrero will unveil a new licensed edition of Kinder Surprise featuring Troll characters as well as the new Kinder Bueno White.

Ferrero said high-end Ferrero Rocher ‘Golden Celebrations’ airport activations gained traction at the end of 2019. It will continue to highlight that campaign as the “pinnacle of the pralines category”.

Ferrero has a revamp in store for its Nutella range in 2021. This, according to the company, will include enhancing the unique selling proposition (USP) of each line through innovative, engaging communication and covering key shopper need states for gifting, sharing and own consumption.

The objective, Ferrero said, is to “add value and to delight brand lovers travelling around the world”.

Ferrero said it considers global travel retail as the “shop-window offering worldwide exposure and the opportunity to make contacts with an international audience”.

“Ferrero Travel Market distributes on a global scale and considers all regions of the world to be key markets,” the company said. “Although we anticipate that the recovery of travel and retail will be gradual, passengers are beginning to return and we will ensure that they are able to find their favourite confectionery to cheer them in these difficult times.”

Ferrero said its team members have been collaborating with partners to streamline product portfolio, with a focus on its brands’ best-selling SKUs and innovations which are expected to be market leaders of the future.

“The key priority for Ferrero Travel Market since COVID-19 has been to ensure efficient stock management, which we have been addressing together with our trade partners. With that in mind, our focus is to ensure the availability of best-sellers for the travelling shoppers,” the company said.

“The team at Ferrero Travel Market is fully aware that in-store activations are likely to be severely curtailed for some time for health and safety reasons. We are working with our partners on alternative ways to reach our audience.”

As reported, Ferrero has revamped its Raffaello Travel Edition to target seeking gifts and to increase on-shelf impact.

The red and white gift box contains 24 pralines which combine white almond cream in a wafer shell, covered with coconut flakes.
