The campaign is presented on the Heinemann’s Choice stage at Frankfurt Airport |
Finlandia vodka is introducing its new super-premium brand, Finlandia Platinum, to Germany for the first time at Frankfurt Airport this month. It is accompanied by promotional activities at the Heinemann Duty Free Stage in Terminal 1B-Schengen.
“The super premium vodka category is growing fast and Finlandia is a growing vodka brand so we are very excited about the opportunity to introduce Finlandia Platinum to travellers in Frankfurt Airport. This is a specially produced activity for this airport with sampling of this hand-crafted vodka and a promoter on hand to explain to travellers what makes it so special,” said Tim Young, Brown-Forman’s Marketing Director of Global Travel Retail.
Platinum’s promotion will offer travellers a chance to enter a raffle to win a trip to Lapland for two that includes:
Return flights to Helsinki and Lapland
Two hotel nights and two local cuisine dinners
Snowmobile safari
Reindeer sleigh ride and ice fishing
Vodka tasting
To make Platinum, Finlandia Master Taster Markku Raittinen passes the liquid over a bed of Finnish birch chips and then finishes it through slow arctic chilling. Raittinen’s distinct method is said to ensure smoothness in each small batch.
Another of Platinum’s signatures is the bottle, which maintains its strong connection to Finnish design. It was developed with the aid of Finnish artists, brand architects, structural designers like Harri Koskinen, a world-renowned Finnish designer and Kenneth Hirst, an award-winning industrial designer based in New York, who sculpted the new form.
