The convenience store chain is based in Dallas and has thousands of locations worldwide. At the airport, the 1,320sq ft store will be located in Terminal A near gate A25 and will feature a contemporary design that embraces the recently renovated terminal’s aesthetics.
Hot food, pre-packaged “˜Grab-n-Go’ items and a variety of snacks and ice creams will be offered as well as a selection of magazines, electronic accessories and various other convenience-related items.
Operator Paradies Lagardère Travel Retail is the newly combined entity of LS travel retail North America and Paradies. Executive Vice President Gerry Savaria said: “Born in Dallas, 7-Eleven is a true global success story and it’s only natural that we offer this iconic brand to the DFW travellers and the airport community.”
DFW Executive Vice President of Revenue Management Ken Buchanan commented: “The opening of the first 7-Eleven inside security at a US airport sets DFW Airport apart from other airports. This is another opportunity to cater to our customers from around the world familiar with the 7-Eleven brand and deliver a customer experience only found at DFW. We are proud to have a local Texas brand at our airport to serve the more than 63 million passengers we have each year.”
