Carlo Bernasconi: New leadership role at fast-growing Flemingo |
INTERNATIONAL. Flemingo International has named Carlo Bernasconi as Group Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect. In addition to his new role, Bernasconi will continue as a Director and Board Member of Flemingo International.
Bernasconi joined Flemingo International in March 2013 to spearhead business development. He led the formation of the new Flemingo Europe region that includes Baltona, Iris Ekspres, Chacalli de Decker and the recent merged Harding Retail.
Flemingo International Group Chief Executive Officer Atul Ahuja said: “Carlo has brought more than two decades of rich experience into Flemingo and has played the pivotal role in expanding our business in the new geographical regions and crafting retail excellence within the business. We welcome him to the new role and wish him great success.”
Flemingo underlined its strategic focus on Europe as it targets US$2 billion in sales by 2020.
