The Nordic Projekt, a company with a focus on Swedish simplicity and durability, is set to introduce its eyewear brands into travel retail at next week’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Yellow Village, F42).
Founded by entrepreneurs Andreas Roxe and Jonna Roxe Voare, a Swedish-American couple with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, The Nordic Projekt was born out of a desire to rejuvenate the over the counter glasses market.
With over a decade of experience leading the presbyopia market in Southern Europe, the company is recognised for its focus on innovation, market trends and demands.
With its appearance in Cannes, The Nordic Projekt aims to expand its reach in travel retail, where it has already achieved significant results in collaboration with leading retailers including Lagardère Travel Retail and WHSmith. Its latest expansion efforts are spearheaded by industry veteran and New Thing Head of Sales Martyn Westbury.
“I am thrilled to unlock this massive sales opportunity and introduce these cutting-edge products to the wider travel retail market, which holds substantial potential for growth,” Westbury said.
At Cannes The Nordic Projekt will highlight three brands:
- Nordic Vision: Eyewear with a focus on innovation, combining quality products and contemporary design with a self-service sales system
- Perspektiv: Tailored to a youthful audience with contemporary designs and accessible pricing.
- Matters: Committed to ethical and sustainable practices, Matters “proves that style and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand”. Its frames are made from 100% recycled RPET. ✈️
