Foreo and Chicor strike South Korean beauty partnership

Foreo opened in Chicor Daegu, which is located within the Shinsegae Department Store

SOUTH KOREA. Swedish beauty tech and wellbeing house Foreo has partnered with South Korean beauty speciality store Chicor.

Foreo has opened a back wall presence in Chicor Daegu, which is located within the Shinsegae Department Store.

Launched in 2016, Chicor is the beauty chain brand of Shinsegae Group. In 2019, the retailer has expanded the Chicor brand to include both offline and online stores, including duty free. Chicor currently houses 250 brands with 24 stores in South Korea. These include Lancôme, MAC Cosmetics and Laneige.

Foreo is opening three more counters with Chicor in Seoul’s Gangnam and Hongdae districts this month.

To celebrate the openings, Foreo is running exclusive promotions giving customers added benefits and deals when shopping with Chicor.

Foreo has been steadily expanding its Asia Pacific network. The partnership, according to Foreo, will be important in boosting brand awareness in South Korea, a key Asian beauty market.

“Inking a deal with a brand that is fast becoming the beauty go-to for South Koreans shows that we are moving toward significant brand awareness and recognition in the country,” commented Foreo Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong.

“Foreo is thrilled to have yet another partner assist us in becoming the number-one beauty brand in South Korea. We thank them for their assistance and dedication in turning this partnership into a reality and look forward to a long and fruitful union.”

“Chicor is fast becoming the beauty go-to for South Koreans,” says Gary Leong
