CHINA. Swedish wellbeing house Foreo and sister anti-aging brand FAQ have partnered with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to run a digital advertising campaign at the Haikou Mova Mall. The campaign was launched in preparation for the Labour Day holiday (1 May).
The digital advertisements highlight the hero products of both brands with the slogan ‘Power Your Beauty’. They are located at the east and west entrances of the Haikou Mova Mall and will run until the end of June.
In addition, Foreo has exclusively launched a new Glow Up collection set with the retailer.
The set comprises the Luna Mini 3 Cleansing Device in a fuchsia colourway, the Serum Serum Serum and the Micro Foam Cleanser. It is available in CDFG’s Hainan stores and on its WeChat platform.
The brands have also partnered with Hainan Investment Tourism Duty Free Co to launch a pop-up at the Hainan Investment Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex (HTDF) celebrating both Labour Day and Mother’s Day. The pop-up will run from 1-8 May.
The Labour Day holiday traditionally brings a surge of travellers into Hainan, although this year’s visitor numbers are certain to be hit by the current COVID outbreak and related strict lockdowns in Shanghai and Beijing.
According to the China Tourism Academy, Hainan is the fifth-most popular domestic holiday destination in China next to Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xiamen and Guangzhou.
“Our approach to conquer the Labour Day holiday is one of strength and relationships,” commented Foreo Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong. “By ensuring that all our partners have unique USPs and partnerships with our brand, we can reach maximum exposure for one of the main marketing holidays of the year.
“We have also expanded our consumer touchpoints to further establish Foreo and FAQ as the brands spearheading creative marketing in Hainan.”
