Foreo ramps up brand awareness in high-profile Seoul launch

Swedish beauty-tech brand Foreo adopted a party theme to launch its Candy Collection and Serum Serum Serum in spectacular style into South Korean duty free at the weekend.

Over 100 KOLs from China, Korea and other Asian countries were among guests at a high-profile event at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on 16 June. Live streaming was featured across social media.

Serum Serum Serum is now making its travel retail debut, along with the Micro Foam Cleanser, at key duty free stores in Seoul. As reported, both products were revealed at last month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition.

Serum Serum Serum is a Micro Capsule Youth Preserve to pair with the firming massage mode on selected Luna devices. The Micro-Foam Cleanser is formulated with skin-replenishing amino acids and vitamin E to help lock in moisture. It pairs with Luna, and its T-Sonic cleansing and anti-ageing capabilities, to offer a deeper and more effective cleanse.

A smile says it all: Foreo Founder Filip Sedic checks on his brand’s progress in South Korean travel retail.

Foreo Founder Filip Sedic visited Foreo counters in selected duty free stores, which feature the Candy Collection, a limited edition of Foreo’s Luna Mini 2 device.

Foreo said South Korea is a “key point of sales” in Asia, adding that the “ever-expanding” business here promises to be the highlight of the year for the brand. Foreo also predicted record-breaking sales from the new products.

UPDATE: Just one week after the launch event, Foreo said 6,000 pieces of the limited edition Candy Collection were purchased by Chinese customers, proving the value of the KOLs and their influence on Chinese travellers.
