Former Amber Beverage Group CEO Jekaterina Stuge invests in aperitivo brand Sprissetto

Italian aperitivo brand Sprissetto has announced that well-known spirits industry figure Jekaterina Stuge has made a strategic investment in the company.

Stuge’s most recent full-time role was as CEO of Amber Beverage Group, where she served for ten years, before departing the business in February this year. The company is a leading producer, distributor, logistics provider and retailer of more than 1,400 beverage brands.

Founded in 2020 by Marco Lo Greco, a former bartender with a deep passion for mixology, Sprissetto has already established itself as a premium aperitivo brand. In its short history, the company has expanded its presence to more than ten countries.

The product range, including Sprissetto Classico, Bitter, Venezia, Eden, Sud and the non-alcoholic Zero expression, uses infusions of herbs, spices and fruits.

Welcoming Stuge’s investment, Sprissetto described her as “a highly influential figure in the global beverage industry who is known for her visionary leadership”.

“Jekaterina Stuge’s involvement is a game-changer for Sprissetto,” said Lo Greco. “Her vast industry expertise will be critical as we advance our international expansion without compromising the integrity and authenticity of our products. With her on board, we’re set to expand our reach into other markets and strengthen our existing markets.”

Stuge said she was drawn to Sprissetto’s “bold mission, commitment to excellence and innovative approach to aperitivo culture”. She added her decision to invest reflects her belief in “the brand’s promise to redefine the aperitivo experience on a global scale”.

Stuge continued: “I am thrilled to join such a fast-growing brand in a vibrant category. Sprissetto’s unique fusion of tradition and innovation sets it apart, and I’m confident we can achieve exceptional results by combining our shared passion and exploring new growth avenues.”

With Stuge’s backing, Sprissetto said it aims to significantly expand its distribution footprint, strengthening its position as “one of the most authentic and innovative brands in the aperitivo space”.

Lo Greco added: “Jekaterina’s strategic insights and proven track record in scaling brands globally will accelerate our journey, while we remain committed to delivering the exceptional quality and creativity that define us.” ✈
