IRELAND/INTERNATIONAL. Kenny Jacobs, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Ryanair, has commenced his new role as CEO of daa, the global airport and travel retail group which owns Aer Rianta International (ARI).
He brings strong aviation experience from a six-and-a-half year stint as the marketing lead at Ryanair, a role he departed in June 2020.
After leaving Europe’s largest airline, he has worked as an independent consultant, advising airline and retail businesses on digital, marketing, PR/communications, revenue management and cost reduction.

Since November 2021 he has also served as a Non Executive Director at ENGAGE XR Holdings, a virtual communications platform developer with expertise in virtual reality (VR).
Earlier in his career, Jacobs served as Chief Marketing Officer at Moneysupermarket Group and performed both Brand Communication and Marketing director roles at Tesco.
In a post on LinkedIn, Jacobs said: “Excited to start a new role as CEO of daa plc. A great aviation business that is vital for Ireland’s growth and connectivity.”
State-owned and headquartered at Dublin Airport, daa has businesses across 15 countries around the world.
The company’s principal activities include operating and managing Dublin and Cork airports, global airport retailing through subsidiary ARI, and international aviation consultancy through daa International.
