UK. Diageo Global Travel and Middle East will be welcoming Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen onto its stand during the 25th TFWA World Exhibition next week (Red Village M38).
Next Wednesday in Cannes, visitors to the Diageo stand will hear Häkkinen talk about his role as Johnnie Walker Global Responsible Drinking Ambassador. They will also learn more about Join the Pact, a Johnnie Walker campaign asking people to make a commitment never to drink and drive.
Visitors will also have the chance to get Mika’s autograph, have pictures taken with him and commit to the campaign by adding their signature to the The Pact.

In a packed programme of activities on its stand, Diageo will also be offering tutored tastings for Zacapa Centenario Rum and Ketel One vodka.
The stand will also be showcasing the company’s Luxury Portfolio as well as its latest gifting products. With its specially designed bar, a selection of refreshing non-alcoholic drinks will be served throughout the day.
This is the full week’s programme:
Monday 19th October
From 16:30: Visit the stand to enjoy a range of ‘Get the Summer Spirit’-themed cocktails, in recognition of the global category promotion Diageo carried out this year in travel retail.
Tuesday 20th October
– From 16:30: A special tutored tasting of Zacapa Centenario Rum, conducted by Lorena Vasquez, Master Distiller of Zacapa – and the world’s only female master distiller.
Wednesday 21st October
– From 16:00: Double Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen will talk about his role as Johnnie Walker Global Responsible Drinking Ambassador. Learn more about “˜Join the Pact’, a Johnnie Walker campaign asking people to make a commitment to never drink and drive. Get Mika’s autograph, have pictures taken with him and commit to the campaign by adding your signature to the “˜The Pact’.
– From 17:00: A tutored tasting of Ketel One vodka, hosted by Justin Smyth, European Brand Ambassador.
Thursday 22nd October
From 16:30: A tutored wine tasting hosted by experts from Barton & Guestier & Diageo Wines Europe.
About Mika Häkkinen
Mika Häkkinen raced in Formula One from 1991 to 2001, winning the FIA Drivers’ World Championship in 1998 and 1999 with McLaren Mercedes.
Häkkinen became the Global Responsible Drinking Ambassador for Johnnie Walker in November 2006. Since his appointment, he has travelled to over 20 countries, to spread the Never Drink and Drive message.
