UK. Following a successful pop-up promotion last summer with TRG Concessions, Frae Frozen Yogurt is back by popular demand at London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5.
As reported, Frae teamed up with TRG last year to open a pop-up store offering frozen yogurt that is claimed to be naturally fat free, low in calories and bursting with healthy probiotics. With over 5.5 million people expected to pass through departures this summer, both companies are even more excited about this year’s opportunity.
TRG Concessions Managing Director Nick Ayerst commented: “We are delighted to work with Frae again after such a successful and rewarding partnership last year. The brand continues to inspire, due to their natural and fresh ethos that runs through everything they do. With frozen yogurt ever increasing in popularity and the summer season ahead we look forward to cooling down and refreshing Heathrow’s T5 passengers this summer.”
Heathrow’s Head of Food and Beverage Ben Crowley added: “Summer brings a wonderful feeling of excitement to Heathrow as families prepare for their holiday together. I am delighted that Frae and TRG have worked together again and joined us in time to get thousands of summer breaks off to a great start through this latest pop-up in Terminal 5.”
Frae co-founder Donald Murray said: “We are thrilled to bits that passengers travelling through Terminal 5 will now have the opportunity to try Frae for the second year running. Our farm made frozen yogurt will provide the perfect healthy, refreshing treat to complement all the holiday excitement.”
Frae yogurt is created on a dairy farm in North Wales and shipped to the temporary residency in the 200sq ft shop situated on the terminal’s upper level. Frae currently operates six other stores across London.
Frae founders Donald Murray and Martyn Pollock stumbled upon frozen yogurt in New York while craving a healthy, refreshing snack and immediately saw the potential of this product in the UK.
The name “˜Frae’ – which means “˜from’ in old Scots – is not only a reference to the origin of the founders, but more specifically a reference to the impeccable sourcing of the dairy ingredients used in the product, the company said.
