GERMANY. Fraport Group is celebrating the summer Olympics and Paralympics in Paris by providing passengers at Frankfurt Airport with a range of activities and experiences inspired by the sporting competition.
To ensure passengers do not miss any of the Games, the airport has established six public viewing areas, including three behind security checkpoints, to broadcast live coverage of all events.
In addition, more than 500 billboards managed by Media Frankfurt display live tickers with real-time updates on the individual events.
Travellers can participate in various hands-on games throughout the airport to get into the Olympics spirit, including handball and basketball stations where they can test their skills and win small prizes. The TIPP-KICK game, popular during the European Football Championship, features again. Additionally, table tennis promoters roam the terminals, inviting passengers to take part in a match.

Frankfurt Airport’s culinary offerings include exclusive stands selling French macarons. Created by Master Confectioner Felix Vogel, these sweet treats come in a range of colours and flavours, each representing a different continent and aligning with the Olympic theme and Parisian setting.
“We keep reinventing ourselves to delight our customers with creative ideas and ensure they have an enjoyable trip,” said Fraport Vice President for Retail & Properties Karl-Heinz Dietrich. “This approach was successful during the European Football Championships, and now we are bringing the Olympic Games experience to our guests at the airport.”
Frankfurt Airport serves as a key hub for travellers heading to the Olympic Games, with three airlines offering flights to 11 destinations in France. This connectivity underscores the airport’s role as a gateway to the world and its commitment to enhancing the passenger experience through innovative initiatives. ✈
