USA. Fraport USA has promoted Brett Kelly to the new role of Senior Vice President of Operations, effective 1 April.
Since 2011, Kelly has been Vice President of the company’s Fraport Maryland group. There he led the concessions programme at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport – overseeing the leasing, construction, marketing and management of nearly 120,000sq ft of concessions space. Recently, he also led the transition of Fraport USA’s new concessions development programme at Nashville International Airport in February.
“Brett’s extensive experience in retail real estate and roles in management, marketing, leasing and business development has contributed to the growth and success of our programme and several key initiatives,” said Fraport USA President and CEO Ben Zandi.
“He brings us exceptional qualities and qualifications to advance Fraport USA’s operational excellence, as we expand our teams and business footprint in North America.”
At Baltimore/Washington International, Kelly helped build Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) programmes, along with the launch of Fraport USA’s LaunchPad pilot programme for start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Before joining Fraport USA, Kelly served as a vice president with retail development company General Growth Properties, where he held leadership positions in the areas of leasing, asset management, operations and marketing.
