
HONG KONG, CHINA. Fred Lam has today officially taken office as the new Chairman of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK).
Lam, along with three new members and two reappointed serving members of the AAHK Board, is taking on the role for a three-year term.
As announced last month, Lam succeeds Jack So who is stepping down from the role after nine years.
Chief Operating Officer Vivian Cheung will temporarily serve as CEO while the Board conducts a global search for a candidate.

The hugely respected Lam has served as AAHK CEO since 2014 and prior to this was Executive Director at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
Lam said: “It is a great honour to be appointed Chairman of Airport Authority. I will continue to work closely with the Board, the executive team and the government to realise the Airport City vision, which will transform ourselves into a new landmark and further enhance our role as the key international aviation hub in the region.”
The three newly appointed AAHK Board members include Dr Dorothy Chan Yuen Tak-fai, Ann Kung Yeung Yun-chi and Perry Yiu Pak-leung. The two reappointed members are Sabrina Chao Sih-ming and Edwin Tong Ka-hung. ✈
