SWITZERLAND. Swiss brands Frédérique Constant and Caran d’Ache have joined forces to produce a watch and pen set for inflight and ground store sales.
In a joint statement, both companies said: “When two great, quality brands complement each other in the way we both do, the opportunities begin to fall into place. The reaction we’ve had to this concept has been excellent. Both brands share the same values and positioning and therefore have a common target market.”
The set, comprising Frédérique Constant’s Stainless Steel Slim Line and Caran d’Ache’s Ecridor “˜Retro’ ballpoint pen, is presented in a wooden packaging or a “˜window’ box.
The water resistant watch features a stainless steel case, high precision Quartz movement, sapphire crystal glass and Croco-Calf strap, and comes with a two-year international guarantee.
The Ecridor ballpoint pen, made of a silver-plated hexagonal body, is also plated with rhodium to resist scratches and tarnishing. It offers an international lifetime warranty.
The set is priced at €265 (US$319) in travel retail. For more information, email Urs Messerli at urs.messerli@carandache.ch or Paul Martin at pauljmartin@onetel.com.
