Gassan returns to Singapore Changi Airport in style |
SINGAPORE. Gassan Diamonds proudly opened two new multi-brand watch shops in the new, long-awaited Terminal 3 at Changi Airport Singapore on 9 January.
The Gassan offer includes a luxury boutique for the ultra-premium Swiss brand Tag Heuer and two generic multi-brand watch shops,
The opening is an important expansion of the company’s travel retail business into Southeast Asia, it said. The Tag Heuer boutique offers not only an extensive collection of the latest models, but also a number of exclusive boutique models available only in this specialised store. They were shipped from Switzerland especially for the opening of Terminal 3.
The larger 174sq m generic multi-brand shop features exclusive corners or boutiques from Cartier, Omega, IWC, Longines, Jaeger LeCoultre and Breitling. “These personalised boutiques and corners are decorated according to the highest quality standards of the brands with original imported and specially designed furniture and display materials,” said Gassan.

The opening represents a Changi comeback for the Gassan family, which ran a well-ranged watches store from 1999-2004 in Terminal 2. “Today, we are thrilled to be back again in Terminal 3 with a totally renewed concept that also presents the Gassan branding in its new company corporate image and styling,” the company said.
Benno Leeser, President & Managing Director of the Gassan Holding (headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands), said he believes strongly in Asia and the important role it has in the travel retail industry.
He saluted the loyalty, efficiency and professionalism of Asian management and staff, adding that this made him very happy to work with the same Director, Anthony Chye since the incorporation of Gassan Singapore in 1999.
Leeser said he was confident that the shops will be highly successful and an asset to Changi Airport.
The Gassan Watches stores and the Tag Heuer boutique occupy a combined total of 353sq of shopping space in the departure/transit (airside) area of Terminal 3. “The international visitor can enjoy a vast collection of top brand watches and high-quality service provided by well-trained staff in a luxurious ambiance,” said Gassan.
